Patterson beating Moore at 21, Ali beating Liston at 22 or Tyson beating Berbick at 20, the best win?
Which win is more impressive, Floyd Patterson beating Archie Moore to become champion at 21, Muhammad Ali or Casius Clay at the time beating Sonny Liston to become champion at 22 (just turned 22 the month before) or Mike Tyson beating Trevor Berbick to become champion at 20 and undisputed champion at 21 after beating Smith and Tucker for the WBA and IBF belts after winning the WBC belt from Berbick? But Ali was the youngest person to win the undisputed title from a reigning World Heavyweight Champion when he beat Liston in 1964 as Patterson won the vacant title against light - heavyweight champion Archie Moore after Maciano's retirement. And Ali said he could have beaten Liston a year or more earlier but he never got that chance as Liston was ducking him. So Ali could have became champion at 20 or 19 if he had got is shot at Liston earlier. But it could have went the other way as he might have not been ready for Liston at that time and he would have been lighter as well which might have been detrimental to his chances if they had fought earlier. As Ali filled out and weighed 210 1/2lbs when he fought Liston the first time whereas he only weighed about 195 - 200lbs from 1960-1962 while Liston always weighed about 215 - 220lbs and weighed 218lbs when he fought Ali the first time and 215lbs the second time. And as we all know Ali weighed 215lbs when he fought Frazier in 1971 and 216 1/2 lbs when he beat Foreman in Zaire in 1974.
