Being Gay Is A Choice?

Now, i have absolutely no hate towards gays. I have openly spoke out about gay rights at my school during a presidential campaign. I believe gays should have absolute equal and undisputed rights. I have a question... Is being gay a choice? I know I would consider me being straight a choice based on my feelings toward women, so since I like women in an intimate way, I decide to be straight and make advances with women. I could choose to be gay anytime I wanted, I could just ask a man on a date or something and BOOM! im gay, so a choice right? So aren't the feelings not a choice instead of the actual being gay or not part?
