I wanna be a singer should i?

ok im 9 im a girl my family my friends and people i dont know say i sing good but im not so ure so i"ll post youtube videos later im not exactly pretty not fat nor skinny im a little chubby i have asma and my life time dream is to be a singer my grandma is thinking of signing me up for lessons.
